2028 SE2 Capsule Overview
DPA introduced this capsule to be a more cost effective approach to the it's bigger brother the 4018V(L). Like the 4018, the 2028 is a super cardioid pressure gradient condenser. It has the same frequency range of 20Hz - 20kHz and the response is pretty flat. Definitely worth a shootout between the 4018V and VL capsules.
Where sound pressure levels are a challenge, the 2028 is also up to the task with its 160 dB SPL threshold, three-step pop-protection grid and excellent low handling noise. One thing that makes the 2028 more cost effective is that it is made for either one wireless type or another. This one it is made for compatibility with Sennheiser wireless systems.
