4099 B Overview
The DPA 4099B is specifically designed for the sound pressure levels of acoustic instruments such as upright basses. The 4099B includes a mounting piece that is designed to be mounted on the strings before the bridge. This microphone is a condenser utilizing a super cardioid pickup pattern for max gain before feedback especially in the high mids (8Mhz) and lows (250 Hz). The frequency response of the 4099 incredibly ranges past 20Hz and 20 Mhz. This mic definitely does NOT lack clarity.
